MEDECO PSEM’s advanced production technology is designed for maximum efficiency and sustainability, using 26 times less electricity and 100 times less water compared to traditional nitrile glove manufacturing in Asia. As a result, MEDECO PSEM has the lowest carbon footprint of any glove manufacturer worldwide. In contrast, Asian nitrile glove production relies on enormous water and energy consumption, using up to 5,000 gallons of water per hour and requiring complex independent water and sanitation systems—an infrastructure challenge for developed nations. Additionally, the high power demands of Asian manufacturing necessitate on-site power generation substations, making the process environmentally unsustainable.
